Pulau Ubin today! Supposedly there should be more people joining us but in the end the plan was ruined coz everybody's either not free or backed out -.- Well it's ok, at least we enjoyed ourselves, even though it's just the two of us! :) And thanks to his father we didn't have to worry about $$$ and transport HAHA.

I shall blog as a tour guide! Ah yes good idea.

If you're thinking of going to Ubin, there's only one way, which is via the Changi Ferry Terminal. The ride costs 2.50$ per passenger and the amt only covers up for a one-way trip. I'd suggest that you go during the weekends or during school holidays coz you'll have to wait till there's 12 passengers then the boat would leave. Of course, you can "bribe" the driver but I'm not sure of the amount you'll hv to pay.

The ride takes about 10mins. Once you alight, you'll see this sign in front.

So first of all, rent a bicycle! (I suppose nobody would want to walk the whole island, it'll take forever! HAHA) There're many bicycle rental shops to choose from. We rented from the one which's 6$ per day, suggested by Jianjin.

I know you people would get anxious and would want to start cycling as soon as possible BUT there's one very impt thing to do first, which is to................

HYDRATE YOURSELF!!!

Ah yes, choose 100plus coz it helps to quench your thirst. If not, HtwoO's good too.

THEN YOU CAN START CYCLING!

Of course, not forgetting to take photo of the scenary there. Afterall, you're there for the flora and fauna isn't it?

Yesyes, don't forget to take photos of/with each other as well! Photos are the best souvenirs ;)

Anyway, I suggest that you cycle to the East side of Pulau Ubin coz the West side has nothing much to look at. On the East, there's Chek Jawa Highlands, which's the main attraction on Ubin.

Upon reaching Chek Jawa's entrance, you'll have to park your bicycles at the parking lot. Don't worry, your bikes wouldn't get stolen. (well at least mine didn't, HAHA)

You'll have to walk by foot into the Wetlands itself. Take the time to enjoy the scenary!

As you walk in further, you'll see this tower. It may be hard to climb but trust me, the results are definitely rewarding......

After viewing, you may choose to head back (via the road you went in earlier) or continue exploring the Wetlands (via the other road).

You'll have to walk on bridges like this if you chose the second choice.

The scenary is just plain awesome, full stop.

After viewing, take the same route to the bicycle parking lot to fetch your bicycles then you can start cycling back to the Ferry Terminal (if you want that is).

While you're cycling you'll see this, known as the Balai Quarry.

Oh and do take good care of yourself + your belongings coz there're monkeys there.

OKAY I'M DONE. SO DO I MAKE A GOOD TOUR GUIDE? HAHA.
